THE TALE OF THREE DREAMS AND HOW IT CHANGES THE WORLD AND HISTORY
2 And the Lord answered me:
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.
3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
The Tale of Three Dreams, is less of a tale but more of a vision to grow and expand the reach of the gospel and Pentecostal Christianity.
This vision is encapsulated through a series of dreams given by God to Evangelists Reinhard Bonnke and Daniel Kolenda which has been instrumental in bringing close to 20 Million or more souls to salvation in Jesus in the last 4-5 years alone.
But first it is only fitting that I write about the background of these three dreams - Pentecostalism is an offshoot of Christianity, specifically Protestant Christianity which is considered as the fastest growing religious belief on earth and the Pentecostal and the subsequent charismatic movement [wherein existing churches such as the mainline protestant churches, the evangelical churches and even the Roman Catholic churches adopted, absorbed and applied the tenets and the belief system of the Pentecostal movement such as speaking in tongues, the gift of healing, miracles and prophecy which are common practices in Pentecostal churches] has grown to more than 800 Million people. 1
When we consider the fact that Pentecostalism began in the year 1906 with Charles Parham, William J. Seymour and their students who put together at the beginning of the Azusa street revival were not more than 10 in number 2, it simply means that Pentecostalism as a movement grew by a 100 [hundred] Million times in 100 years. This makes it the fastest movement in known world history and church history as well and the only known movement to have grown so rapidly without any governmental support or military conquests or without any major political or monetary support.
In the midst of this rapid growth of Pentecostalism, came three dreams or rather visions which were given by our Lord Jesus Christ to the legendary Pentecostal Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and his successor Evangelist Daniel Kolenda.
The First Dream
The First Dream took place in the year 1972 as reported by Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, a German Pentecostal Evangelist in his book, Living a Life of Fire - An Autobiography : "I had a dream that changed everything. I saw a map of Africa. Not South Africa, not Lesotho, not Johannesburg, but the entire continent. In my dream the map began to be splashed and covered with blood. I became alarmed. I thought surely this meant some kind of apocalyptic violence was coming – perhaps a bloody Communist revolution. But the Spirit whispered to me that this was the blood of Jesus that I saw. The terrible violence that spilled His blood happened 2,000 years ago on a cross. Then I heard the words, Africa shall be saved.
When I woke up I had a problem. My mind filled with new thoughts that made me uncomfortable. Before going to sleep I had been happy to see 50,000 people enrolled in our correspondence course in Lesotho and further afield. After this dream I could not be happy with that number. I am a German who had struggled with math as a boy. But even I could do these calculations. I had learned that the continent was home to 478,000,000 souls. If it had taken me five years to reach 50 people in Maseru, plus another 50,000 beyond the walls of my church through correspondence, that pace would average 10,010 souls per year. There is nothing wrong with that number but I would have to live to be at least 47,752 years old to see a blood-washed Africa! I thought I had done well. In light of this dream I could see that I was far behind God’s agenda.
In my mind I began to discount the dream. Perhaps I had simply eaten bad bananas. The next night the same dream returned. And the next night. And the next. There were not that many bad bananas in all of Maseru. After this fourth night I said to my wife: “Anni, I think that God is trying to tell me something”. He now had my full attention. Would I take seriously what He was saying to me? Or would I deny Him? Would I choose to believe God’s math? Or would I believe my own?" 3
This first dream came at the beginning stage of his crusade ministry and life which is well known throughout the world, it is this dream that led him to begin his ministry "Christ For All Nations" as an evangelist. [3(a)] [3(b)] [3(c)] [3(d)] [3(e)] [3(f)] [4] [4(a)] [4(b)] [5] [5(a)] [5(b)]
Following this dream, Reinhard Bonnke began a life as an evangelist to the nations and his efforts saw more than 79 Million people come to salvation in Jesus mostly in Africa but also from other places and regions in the world in just the 30 year period since they began documenting salvation decisions for Jesus.
However, as Reinhard Bonnke entered his 70's in the early 2010's which would soon become the closing chapter of his life, he was visited by another dream or vision given to him by God. This would become the second golden bookend that would encapsulate the life and legacy of one of God's greatest generals [as Daniel Kolenda put it in his TV show : A Tale of Three Dreams] and one of the greatest legends of Pentecostalism.
The Second Dream
The second dream or vision [as Reinhard Bonnke described it] was shown to him in the year 2012, while he was still preaching in the BFP conference in Germany along with the Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, who also served as his successor to Christ For All Nations.
In the words of Daniel Kolenda who recounted :
"In 2012 Reinhard Bonnke and I were both preaching at the BFP Annual Convention in Germany. In the night he had a dream that he shared with me the next morning at breakfast and then repeated that evening at the conference. He said that his dream was so real, he wasn’t sure if he was asleep or awake. In fact, he didn’t know if it was a dream or a vision. He said he was projected into the future where he overheard two personalities talking. They were discussing amazing things going on in the world at that time. But there was one thing of particular interest. One of the voices asked, “What ever happened to Reinhard Bonnke?” The reply was this, “Oh, Reinhard Bonnke was just the forerunner of a whole generation of Holy Spirit evangelists.” Then he woke up.
Reinhard lived with an awareness that he needed to impart something to the next generation for the sake of this great coming harvest. That’s why he wrote books, produced media, held Fire Conferences and preached relentlessly. During the last few years of his life, one of his favorite themes was, “Passing the torch to the next generation.” He preached about it often as he visited many countries for the last time." 6 [6(a)] [6(b)] [6(c)] [6(d)] [6(e)] [7] [7(a)] [7(b)] [8] [8(a)] [8(b)]
The Second dream led to Reinhard Bonnke opening his first school of evangelism in Orlando Florida also known as the Reinhard Bonnke School of Evangelism and training students in Evangelism to become effective evangelists and soul winners for the Lord Jesus Christ.
However, what really sparked off or led to the start of the greatest era of harvest of souls in the history of mankind would be the third dream that was given by God not to Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke but rather to his successor Evangelist Daniel Kolenda in the year 2017.
The Third Dream
The Third dream was given by God to Evangelist Daniel Kolenda in the year 2017 when he spoke to him about the upcoming decade from 2020-2030 as the "Decade of Double Harvest". To quote Evangelist Daniel Kolenda's words from his special Episode from CFAN TV [A TALE OF THREE DREAMS] :
"In 2017, the Lord began to speak to me about the upcoming decade as a “Decade of Double Harvest.” I had no idea at the time that Reinhard Bonnke would pass away less than a month before the beginning of the decade. What I felt in my heart is that over the next ten years or so, God would double the number of souls saved to over 150 million. In other words, He would do in the next ten years what had taken the previous 30 combined! It would be a supernatural acceleration of the harvest in this critical hour of history. But that double harvest is not the dream. That acceleration will simply be the catalyst for an exponentially greater harvest, perhaps the greatest evangelistic movement the world has ever known. It will propel “a whole new generation of Holy Spirit evangelists” into the fields before Jesus returns!" 9 [9(a)] [9(b)] [9(c)] [9(d)] [9(e)] [10] [10(a)] [10(b)] [11] [11(a)] [11(b)]
"As exciting as all of this is, the Lord showed me that the exponential increase would come, not simply through addition (CfaN conducting more campaigns and bigger campaigns), but through multiplication. The two words that the Lord gave me, the words that are ringing in my heart, the keys to seeing this dream of a world-wide harvest become reality are these: MULTIPLY and COLLABORATE!" 12 [12(a)] [12(b)] [12(c)] [12(d)] [12(e)] [13] [13(a)] [13(b)] [14] [14(a)] [14(b)]
MULTIPLY
Following the Lord speaking to Evangelist Daniel Kolenda and giving him the keywords that would become the blueprint for achieving the double harvest over the course of the next 10 years, he set to work on the first word i.e. Multiply, in essence he remarks that he was tasked by God to multiply the number of laborer's or evangelists for the harvest by training, equipping and launching crusade evangelists into the harvest fields over the course of the decade from 2020-2030 and so on. 15
Now this was achieved through multiple measures such as beginning various trainings for crusade evangelists such as the Evangelism Bootcamp that began in 2020 and the various schools of evangelism that have now been opened so far in 5 countries i.e. South Africa, Europe, The United States of America, Brazil and Australia with further plans to open more schools of evangelism in every major region and in every major language. However, the bulk of the evangelists have now been trained through the CFAN Fire Camps and Jesus camps where Fire Camps are meant and held for first world countries i.e. North America, Europe and Australia while the Jesus Camps are held in order to train family armies of evangelists in third world countries in Africa, Asia and South America to reach their respective countries and regions for our Lord Jesus Christ.
However, CFAN multiplied all their outreaches and efforts by many folds when it came to 2024 as it was now their 50th Anniversary [considering that CFAN was birthed in 1974 following the first dream given by God to Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke as mentioned earlier].
In 2024, CFAN conducted 50 gospel campaigns beginning in South Africa and ending in Cairo, Egypt and at the same time it also multiplied the number of Evangelists trained in one year by training literally 3000+ evangelists in just one year.
The result of this multiplication was that CFAN saw nearly 7 Million documented decisions for the Lord Jesus Christ in just one year bringing the grand total of the number of people saved to more than 96.6 Million documented decisions for Jesus till the end of 2024 alone. 20
However, in the year 2025, CFAN increased its training and managed to train an estimated 5000+ evangelists in one year, bringing the total number of evangelists trained from 2020-2025 to well over 10,000+ evangelists. The impact of such an exponential increase in evangelists was directly proportionate to the number of souls saved, where in 2025 CFAN saw more than 9 Million salvations in just one year i.e. 9,379,831 salvations to be exact [despite having conducted less than 1/4th the total number of crusades conducted in 2024], bringing the total number of people saved to more than 105.5 Million salvations till the end of 2025 alone. 21 21(a)
The fruits of this multiplication of Evangelists is that the number of souls coming to salvation is ever increasing exponentially which would change and forever shape the history of not just these people saved but entire countries and continents to which these people saved and being baptized by the Holy Spirit belong to, making the growing Pentecostal churches ever larger in their share of members and increasing their ability and impact on entire nations.
COLLABORATE
Now on what does collaborate mean here?
The best way to describe this part of the vision would be to describe the vision in the words of Daniel Kolenda himself : "The other word the Lord gave me was “collaborate.” In the past, evangelists were seen as lone rangers who were unwilling (or perhaps unable) to work together. This is changing in our day and indeed it must change if we are to see this great end-time harvest reaped. I have had experiences in Africa when we needed to move campaign dates or venues because other evangelists were in the same place at the same time. We were stepping on each other because of a lack of communication. But the world is a huge place, and there is no reason we should be tripping over each other in some places while other places are completely neglected. Imagine if, rather than interfering with one another, we actually began to work together, synergizing our efforts and resources for an even greater impact!
Also, in my experience, evangelists are often very lonely. One evangelist called me recently to tell me about the campaign he had just returned from. After many wonderful testimonies of all that God had done, there was a silence. Then he said, “You know sometimes I just feel so lonely. I don’t even know who to tell about what God is doing. I just needed someone to talk to.” Evangelists need community just like everyone else. They need a community to belong to, and colleagues to encourage them and hold them accountable." 22 22(a)
The said vision and experience has led to CFAN formulating various strategies and moves in strong alliance and collaboration with various other ministries which I shall list out below :
GLOBAL EVANGELIST ALLIANCE [GEA] :
The Global Evangelist Alliance is an alliance of evangelists from all across the world, encompassing a wide range of countries and regions across all six continents. This alliance was built by CFAN along with other evangelistic ministries after being commissioned for the same by empowered21 [an organization of all the major Pentecostal and Charismatic churches and their leaders]. The aim of the global evangelist alliance and the empowered21 fellowship network is to make sure that every person has a chance or an encounter with the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit by Pentecost of 2033.
A vision of this scale could potentially shift the dynamics of the world and the world order as we know it. But more on that later.
THE SEND MOVEMENT
The send movement is a rallying call for the present and the next generation to join the missions movement worldwide. It began when 7 ministries including CFAN decided to join pastor Lou Engle of the Call and after an intense season of prayer and fasting and seeking God were led to the starting the movement known as The Send which focused on mobilizing the attendees of the send rally to accomplish their missional calling by adopting a mission field such as their neighborhoods, their schools or colleges and finally the nations of the world. This movement began with the first ever send rally in Florida in 2019 before expanding to other cities in the USA and also moving to Brazil as their debut international rally. This movement has been more than fruitful and this is evident through the following statistics 23 :
So far i.e. by 2024, the send has been instrumental in leading -
24,466 people to adopt a high school as their missional commitment.
26,232 people to adopt a university as their missional commitment.
13,174 people to adopt their local communities as their missional commitment.
58,975 people to adopt the nations of the earth as missionaries as their missional commitment.
24,957 people chose to adopt orphaned and other vulnerable children as their missional commitment.
72,983 people chose to engage themselves in the study of the bible as their missional commitment.
81,249 people chose to engage themselves in fasting and prayer for the harvest and the church as their missional commitment.
THE IMPACT
As already mentioned earlier, a direct result of the decade of double harvest is that nearly 20 Million souls have come to salvation in Jesus Christ in the last 4 years alone with many of them also being baptized by the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues 24 25 26.
With a major proportion of these 20 Million people who have been saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit and also having joined local Pentecostal churches in their area [through the CFAN follow-up system implemented to help these new converts join local churches]. And this is maybe the tip of the iceberg when we consider that CFAN is less than halfway through the decade of double harvest and they have trained more than 5000 evangelists in the following order :
50 evangelists trained in 2020.
120 evangelists trained in 2021.
600 evangelists trained in 2022.
1300 evangelists trained in 2023.
3000 evangelists trained in 2024.
5000+ evangelists trained in 2025.
Now if we also take into account that the 105.5 Million salvations that have occurred in the last 4-5 years due to the decade of double harvest consist of the salvations ONLY DUE TO THE CFAN HELD AND ORGANISED OUTREACHES every year as evangelist Daniel Kolenda put it 27, then the number of independent outreaches by these 10000+ evangelists that have been trained by CFAN and the salvations due to these outreaches could be much larger.
For example, assume that 1000 of these 10000+ evangelists trained so far have been holding regular outreaches independent of CFAN every year and due to these outreaches they have seen 4000 salvations in the last 2 years [a conservative estimate, estimating 2000 salvations a year per evangelist] then by that metric the actual number of salvations in these last 4-5 years would actually be at nearly 30 Million actual decisions for Jesus Christ [a 15.3% increase from the actual number of salvations projected by CFAN]
Also alternatively lets consider this from another angle, the Send movement which was started by CFAN and other ministries has been instrumental in leading 58,975 people to join the global missions movement as missionaries to the nations of the earth as mentioned above. Now assuming that every one of these missionaries leads at least 20 people to salvation every year then by the end of 2035, these missionaries who have been sent out through THE SEND would lead at least 10 Million additional people to salvation in Jesus Christ.
Now alternatively let's consider another perspective; that of multiplication - CFAN on an average has been more than doubling the number of evangelists trained every year i.e. compare the number of evangelists trained in 2021 to 2022, 2022 to 2023, 2023 to 2024 etc. At this rate, CFAN alone would have trained, equipped and launched tens of thousands of crusade evangelists by the end of this decade which could potentially change the face of the global missions movement undertaken by the Pentecostal church and it could change the dynamics of the Pentecostal church and the Pentecostal missions movement with an EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING HARVEST I.E. AN EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING NUMBER OF SALVATIONS AND DOCUMENTED DECISIONS FOR JESUS which would further lead to an exponentially increasing number of people being born again every year and being baptized by and in the Holy Spirit every year.
No matter what today holds, a vision like this gives me hope for the future, a future where our Lord Jesus Christ is glorified everywhere across the globe till the ends of the earth due to this tale of three dreams and its implementation which will soon "plunder hell and populate heaven for Calvary's sake" as Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke once put it.
